Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. In that role she will cover all aspects of space, from NASA and the newly created Space Force, to commercial companies in space and the rise in space travel. Kristin, mother of NASA astronauts and an enthusiastic space lover has spent her entire childhood in the field. She spent five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Trump and Biden Administrations. While there she also covered two presidential impeachment trials and the presdiential 2020 campaign and two administration's attempts to control the spread of coronavirus. In addition, she went on trips with President Trump and Vice President Trump frequently. It included a secret trip with him to Afghanistan.
